We raises the cartoning machine to a higher standard. In the filling machine, we use weighing equipment to filter out the unqualified capsules. The finished products that Nestlé enters the cartoning machine are qualified and intact. Then there is the cartoning machine with the robot on the production line. We installs a modular conveyor with a cup turning mechanism before the cartoner, depending on the production volume and the customer’s factory, which provides a longer buffer time to prevent build-up at the back end.

At the end of the conveyor, an inversion system divides the intact capsules into two lanes leading to the Expak PB-F cartoner. This machine has a workstation specially equipped with a carton magazine, which shapes and places the carton in place while pulling the carton. The carton covers the mainstream packaging methods of K cups, including 12, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24. Of course, we also support the form of bulk bulk packaging without arrangement requirements. We assemble electronic technology and a specially designed cup drop method (for disorderly arrangement), and the carton will not be deformed due to the accumulation of capsules. This is the uniqueness of Expak’s experience, with specific guides and retaining clips to help maintain the shape of the carton, and for the mainstream K-cup solution, the positive and negative cups are alternated in the box. Expak cooperated with YAMAHA on the robot and made it a reliable solution to pick up different numbers of K cups, and cooperated with Schneider on the electrical control, and the solution was designed by the Expak team.

When the set quantity is reached in the carton, the carton will be automatically pushed to the next workstation, and the automatic hot-melt glue system will seal the carton. In the case of empty boxes, it will be automatically rejected and the unqualified finished products will be deleted. We offer more optional items such as printers due to date and batch.

Expak launch a rotary cartoner for saving footprint: PB-F2

The PB-F2 is a form and fill cartoning machine from carton magazines to packing capsules in all possible nesting configurations and into all types of cartons. The working process is similar to the PB-F1, but we let the two types of cartoners have their own fields of preference. We designed this cartoner to be less demanding on output and mainly used for Nespresso and Dolce Gusto types. That is to say, we recommend this cartoning machine for customers who do not need to arrange capsules and boxes and have low production requirements.
